Assemblywoman Natasha Johnson Named to Key Legislative Committees

SACRAMENTO – Assemblywoman Natasha Johnson (R–Lake Elsinore), who represents California’s 63rd Assembly District, announced her committee assignments for the 2025–26 Legislative Session.

Johnson, a longtime banking professional and small business owner, was named Vice Chair of the Assembly Committee on Business and Professions. The committee oversees California’s professional licensing bodies and regulations affecting economic opportunity statewide.

“Committees are where legislation truly gets tested and where bad policies can be stopped or fixed,” Johnson said. “I am excited to serve on these important committees where I will speak up for Riverside County families who are paying more, waiting longer, and getting less from Sacramento. I will be a relentless advocate for the communities I represent at home.”

“As a small business owner, I’ve seen how excessive regulations and rising costs are driving families and job creators out of California,” Johnson said. “I’m focused on cutting red tape, lowering costs, and defending the American Dream so people can afford to build a life here in Riverside County and across the state.”

Johnson said her work on these committees will focus on pushing back against policies that drive up everyday costs for families, address ongoing public safety breakdowns when public safety systems fail our public, and advancing practical solutions that reflect real, growing communities.

Johnson will serve on the following Assembly committees:

  • Assembly Committee on Business and Professions (Vice Chair)
  • Assembly Committee on Health
  • Assembly Committee on Local Government
  • Assembly Committee on Budget
  • Assembly Budget Subcommittee 2 on Human Services
  • Assembly Committee on Elections

Johnson was elected in a 2025 special election and is now entering her first full legislative session as the Inland Empire’s representative in the State Assembly.
