Assemblyman Bill Essayli Appointed to Key Policy Committees, Caucus Leadership Post

Today Asm. Essayli was appointed to several key committees, will serve as Vice Chair of Judiciary, Insurance, and Deputy Republican Floor Leader

SACRAMENTO, Calif., January 18, 2023 – Today, Assemblyman Bill Essayli was appointed to several key State Assembly policy committees for the 2023-24 Regular Session:

Judiciary Committee, Vice Chair
Insurance Committee, Vice Chair
Budget Committee, Member
Budget Sub. 3 on Climate, Resources, Energy, and Transportation, Member
Budget Sub. 6 on Budget Process, Oversight, and Program Evaluation, Member
Elections Committee, Member
Privacy and Consumer Protection, Member

Assemblyman Essayli will also serve as Deputy Floor Leader for the Assembly Republican Caucus.

I’ve spent much of my career in the courts as a prosecutor and in private practice, which is why I am excited to get to work as Vice Chair of the Assembly Judiciary Committee. I’m also looking forward to the hard work of serving on our state budget committee, in particular Subcommittee 6, where I will focus on oversight and reforming our budget process,” remarked Asm. Essayli.

Assemblyman Bill Essayli represents the 63rd Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes the whole cities of Norco, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, and Canyon Lake, as well as portions of the cities of Eastvale, Riverside, and Corona.
